Former multi-division UFC Champion Conor McGregor has commented on his Twitter account about why he was not at this year’s WrestleMania 38 pay-per-view event.

Posting on his social media page, McGregor would write “Why wasn’t I at Wrestlemania? They all fear me, that’s why.”

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre would respond to McGregor’s tweet, simply writing “Shut up McTapper.” The McTapper comment is in reference to four of McGregor’s six UFC losses coming via submission. Conor McGregor’s last two fights in the UFC have seen him defeated by Dustin Porier via TKO on both occasions.

Conor McGregor potentially making the transition to WWE from the UFC has been teased for several years now. Throughout the years, several WWE Superstars have commented on if they expect to see McGregor in the WWE. One such name was Sheamus, who back in January of 2021 would remark that “I don’t think it’s if, I think it’s a matter of when to be honest.”
