WWE held a live event on Thursday night at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England and there was a major incident that took place, as the ring ropes snapped during a match involving Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.
In a wild video that has surfaced online from the show, both Lashley and McIntyre bounced off the ring ropes after the top rope snapped. This resulted in Lashley being sent flying off the apron head-first and hitting the floor.
WWE’s medical team immediately rushed in to check on Lashley and thankfully he was okay. The match briefly continued before they went to the finish.
As you’d expect, this was not scripted and was simply a case of the ring ropes malfunctioning.

In other news, the upcoming match between Jordan Devlin and Ilja Dragunov for the WWE NXT UK Championship will feature a “Loser Leaves NXT UK” stipulation, so it appears one of them will be headed over to the United States sooner rather than later.
