WWE Superstar Damian Priest has said that Tony Khan’s decision to purchase Ring of Honor is “good for the business” as it’ll keep the 20-year promotion alive.
Earlier this month, Khan announced his purchase during a rare appearance on AEW Dynamite, with the deal between himself and ROH expected to be finalized next month.
Priest, who worked as Punishment Martinez in ROH, explained his thoughts in an interview with SHAK Wrestling:
“With the purchase, it’s good. It’s going to stay alive. That’s good for the business. That’s good for everybody. And at least that legacy of Ring of Honor won’t die, you know what I mean? I think that’s always, that’s cool. And I don’t know whatever plans they have but hopefully, it just continues giving people opportunities for a platform to enjoy their lives and follow their dreams. So I’m all for it. I’m happy that things didn’t just fade away for that brand.”
Priest worked for ROH from 2015-2018 and is a former ROH World Television Champion.
