Dax Harwood Reveals Which Female Wrestlers Were Almost Added To The Pinnacle

AEW’s The Pinnacle were close to adding a female member to their ranks, according to Pinnacle member Dax Harwood.

The group, originally consisting of Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, MJF, and Tully Blanchard, debuted in March 2021 to feud with Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle.

Speaking on his FTR Podcast, Harwood explained how Britt Baker and Serena Deeb both nearly made it into the group. He said,

“We really wanted Britt, and there were talks of Britt being in the group, but Britt is a standalone star, no one needs to mess with her, she’s great.

“The other one that I really wanted and talk to Tony (Khan) about, he was pretty excited and had the idea, was Serena Deeb. Up until that point, she had been a babyface, but I thought she really fit what the Pinnacle was, especially Cash and myself, just an incredible wrestler who is considered a badass among the women. Those are the two, and the closest was probably Serena Deeb.”

In a previous episode of his podcast, Harwood said that the group was “dead on arrival” and that at least one member thought The Pinnacle was designed just for him.
