Totally Driven Radio, the weekly radio podcast heard live every Thursday night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. on the Totally Driven Entertainment Radio Network, covers the world of sports and entertainment each week, as well as bringing you celebrity guests interviews. Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion and the man behind the DDP Yoga, Diamond Dallas Page, was a guest on this week’s program. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

Page talked to the boys about how he came up with the Diamond Studd gimmick and the 5 o’clock shadow look for Scott Hall in World Championship Wrestling) (which Hall transferred to the World Wrestling Federation one year later as Razor Ramon), after seeing a George Michael video on MTV in the middle of the night.

He recalled his time in Florida Championship Wrestling and how he had to try out for Dusty Rhodes over the phone to get his job, and where he got to be a color commentator alongside the legendary Gordon Solie.

Page explained how he actually has five decades of wrestling; he had a few matches in 1978, but was also in the bar business at the same time, but it was hard for him to turn down all the women, booze and money so he stuck with the bar business.

He explained how he went to Jake “The Snake” Roberts for assistance with his early matches in WCW; Roberts is the one who really taught him psychology in wrestling.

He explained how utilizing the “Diamond Cutter” really put him over the top.

Page said without Dusty Rhodes there is no Diamond Dallas Page, and without Jake Roberts he wouldn’t have become a top guy, let alone World Champion.

He talked about how Arn Anderson told him he would never be a top guy in the business.

Page gives his opinion on ECW, and how he got Raven into the promotion. He says that one of his biggest regrets is never getting to work in the ECW Arena, especially after Dusty Rhodes told him the building was magic.

Page explained how his ex-wife Kimberly kept suggesting yoga after being told he would never wrestle again and he combined it with exercises he learned from rehabilitation which would now be known as DDP Yoga.

Page does DDP Yoga five days a week, and at 57-years-young has abs, and is ripped and is svelte.

He talked about the amazing story of how he helped the disabled veteran Arthur, and how that video has over 10,000,000 views and was in Google’s top 100 videos last year.

Page said he has a new app coming out, as well as DDP Yoga for seniors, and how Arthur used a chair as part of his workouts.

He also talked about how the assistance he has been giving to Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall to help them live a clean, healthy and structured life style.

DDP joins Totally Driven Radio at the 23-minute-mark, and hangs out with the boys for over 45 minutes to discuss these topics and more. The audio interview is available here.
