WWE already filmed the “Swamp Fight” between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt earlier this week. According to a report by Wrestlinginc, some of the details of the match have been leaked, including information on the planned finish.
Filming for the match took between six and seven hours. Multiple camera angles and takes were used in order to execute the match and for any editing purposes needed. The match is expected to go around 20-30 minutes. Several reptiles such as snakes and alligators were used for the match.
Bray Wyatt had a ton of ideas for how the match should go and how to lay out the foundation for these ideas to incorporate them into the match. Vince McMahon is not involved in any way, shape or form with the producing of this contest. The Swamp Fight is expected to be very different from anything that we’ve seen so far in the past, such as the “Boneyard Match” between The Undertaker and AJ Styles, or “The Firefly Funhouse Match” with Bray Wyatt and John Cena at WrestleMania 36.
For what it’s worth, the finish for the match is set up to be a true horror film styled ending (think along the lines of “Friday the 13th”). Not entirely sure how this would be pulled off for a match like this, but you can likely picture the demise of Bray Wyatt and him coming back at the end as “The Fiend”, in some way.
The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, featuring the Swamp Fight, will air tomorrow (July 19) on the WWE Network.
