Glenn “Disco Inferno” Gilberti took to Twitter over the weekend, ripping Kenny Omega for his in-ring work at the NJPW Sakura Genesis event. Gilberti reacted to a photo of Cody Rhodes being busted open during his match with Adam Page against Omega and Kota Ibushi.
Gilberti said, “Nobody knows how to ‘work’ anymore” and arguing that people will keep getting hurt if this continues happening. When someone said that “accidents happen” and that “Cody is actually a good example of a safer style,” Gilberti continued, “How is that an accident? Because he accidentally kicked him too hard in the face? That means your “work” is not good.”

Nobody knows how to “work” anymore. They would rather kill each other to get @davemeltzerWON to put their match over. That is a problem that needs to be put front and center. Guys are going to keep getting hurt. https://t.co/NTwFopHlDR

Trying to educate the masses that the actual “art” of wrestling is making it look real without lacerating your opponents for real. https://t.co/UBDfvI7j4X
