UPDATE: The issues between the Dish Network and CBS, which caused iMPACT! Wrestling and POP TV to go dark, have been resolved. On Thursday, Dish and CBS announced that they had reached a multi-year carriage agreement. All CBS-owned stations across the United States, including the CBS Sports Network, POP TV and Smithsonian channel, will be airing on Dish for the next several years.
As previously reported, the channels went dark this past week due to a major carriage dispute. CBS and Dish were said to have “far apart on terms” at the time, but it was resolved fairly quickly.
ORIGINAL: According to reports, subscribers of the Dish Network have lost their access to iMPACT! Wrestling for the time being. Pop TV and several other channels were pulled from the network as part of an ongoing dispute between Dish and CBS. As you know by now, iMPACT! Wrestling airs on Pop TV on Thursday nights.
The CBS’ broadcast network, CBS Sports Network, and the Smithsonian Channel are among some of the other channels that went dark during the dispute. CBS claims they and Dish remain “far apart on terms”.
