Dolph Ziggler has been on a hiatus from WWE television for quite some time. However, that all changed on this week’s edition of Smackdown Live.
The advocate for Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman appeared teasing a Money In The Bank cash-in occurring after WWE Champion Kofi Kingston’s match with Sami Zayn.
This didn’t happen but what did occur was a vicious beating at the returning Dolph Ziggler. During the attack Ziggler wrapped a steel chair around Kofi’s head and threw him into the announce table. He later went on to stomp on his head while it was still inside the chair.
This vicious attack resulted in Kingston being taken away on a stretcher. But the WWE Champion refused to let that go down and walked away on his own.
Dolph Ziggler would return to the stage explaining his motive behind the attack. He said all the success that Kofi has seen as of late should have been him. Ziggler then issued a challenge to Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship at WWE Super ShowDown.
