Doug Williams has announced on his social media that he is coming out of retirement and is taking bookings again. He retired in 2018 after a run on the independent scene. He was set to return last year for the ROH Pure tournament and the Past vs. Present event, but the COVID-19 pandemic stopped it from happening.

Doug Williams is known for his work in the UK wrestling scene & Ring of Honor. He is perhaps most known for his time in TNA Wrestling as one-half of the British Invasion tag team with Brutus Magnus (now known as the NWA World Champion Nick Aldis). As a team, they won the TNA and IWGP Tag Team Championships.

As a singles competitor, his biggest achievements include being the second ever ROH Pure Champion, one time TNA Television Champion, and a two time TNA X-Division Champion. He has won many other titles around the world. Before wrestling, he was the 1992 British Judo Champion. Williams first big match was in the FWA against a recovering Eddie Guerrero; following his release from WWE in 2001 after being arrested for DUI.

He wrote: “The events of the past year has made me reassess my decision to retire as it made me understand that you should use your life to fullest doing what you enjoy. As such I am open to bookings again, email is in my bio…”
