According to a report by the Voices of Wrestling, Ring of Honor Television Champion Dragon Lee (aka Ryu Lee) went home during the middle of a quarantine in Japan. It’s currently unknown why he left Japan and abandoned the quarantine, but the report noted he was “sent home.”
Back in December 2019, Dragon Lee had signed a one-year contract with NJPW. Lee was in Japan before NJPW announced this year’s competitors for the Best of the Super Juniors 26 tournament, which Lee tweeted about last month. Lee was not on the list of announced participants for this year’s tournament. The source on the rumor of Lee leaving Japan was a NJPW wrestler who knows him.
Dragon Lee was expected to be back in action at the next set of ROH TV tapings. He has been out of action since the pandemic shutdowns started. He last worked at ROH Gateway to Honor 2020 in February with a match against Dak Draper.
