During the December 6th episode of WWE NXT, Charlie Dempsey went one-on-one with Hank Walker. Towards the end of the bout, Drew Gulak appeared on the ramp and watched as Dempsey locked Walker in the Regal Stretch to make him tap. Once Dempsey won, Gulak turned around and left.
Rumors have abounded lately about William Regal returning to WWE. Since Charlie Dempsey is Regal’s real-life son, could this be part of a storyline where Gulak plays the role of wrestling savant to train the youngster? Time will tell.
Gulak’s appearance on Tuesday night’s show was his first appearance on WWE television since August 26th. He lost in a squash to Karrion Kross on an episode of SmackDown. Gulak hasn’t been seen on NXT since losing the (now defunct) Cruiserweight Championship to Lio Rush back in October 2019.
