With Scarlett by his side, Karrion Kross made his unexpected return to WWE two weeks ago on SmackDown. The former NXT Champion attacked Drew McIntyre and set his sights on Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, McIntyre admitted that he was shocked to see Kross back on the main roster and said he deserves the opportunity.
“I was very surprised. I didn’t know until the very last second. Let’s just say it’s somebody who has worked hard for an opportunity, deserves the opportunity, and is getting the biggest opportunity of his career. Unfortunately for him, it’s not going to come at Drew McIntyre’s expense.”
Both McIntyre and Kross sent their respective warnings to Reigns on SmackDown. McIntyre is set to challenge The Tribal Chief next month at Clash at the Castle.
