We are exactly one week away from WrestleMania 39, and the hottest story in all of professional wrestling is getting hotter by the day. Following the events of last night’s episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes is set to face Solo Sikoa on the WrestleMania go-home edition of Monday Night RAW, and wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell, appearing on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s “Smack Talk” podcast, recently shared his insights on how Rhodes should be booked on next week’s RAW and SmackDown.

According to Mantell, The American Nightmare has been booked well over the past three months, but The Bloodline needs to “beat the living c**p out of him” ahead of WrestleMania in order to set up the ultimate pay-off at The Grandest Stage Of Them All. Mantell said,

“They are really handling Cody well. This is how you get over because you’ve got to get that creative behind you. You’ve got to get the booking team behind you. And next week, if he meets Solo, there are a lot of different finishes. He can beat Solo, or you can run the two Usos in trying to get Cody, and Cody runs out, and here comes Roman from behind, and they beat the living crap out of him. But there are a lot of ways to get around it.”

Mantell further elaborated on why the beatdown angle should take place on RAW instead of SmackDown. He said,

“I don’t think Cody [Rhodes] has had the dog crap beat out of him, and I think it’s coming. It may come on RAW. It may come on SmackDown. I would rather have it on RAW because now he has a week to recover. SmackDown, what is it? One day? Two days?”

Cody Rhodes is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania on April 2nd at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
