Earl Hebner Discusses Scary Moment During Shawn Michaels vs. British Bulldog Match

During the latest episode of “Refin’ It Up,” former WWE referee Earl Hebner commented on an incident that occurred during a WWE Championship match between Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog at WWF In Your House 8 where he was thrown through the second ring rope after the British Bulldog jumped into the Heartbreak Kid. He said,

“I thought I was dead. I wasn’t prepared for that one because it was never said [beforehand] that he was going to do that.”

He continued, “I was running toward him and he just kept me going and he grabbed me and just shot me through [the ropes].” The blue paint on the ropes actually scraped off onto his pants, and he had to throw them away as a result. Hebner went on, “They were blue at the time because there was so much sh** on them.”
