Former WWE referee Earl Hebner has said he celebrated the recent termination of John Laurinaitis.
Laurinaitis, once WWE’s Head of Talent Relations, was let go due to his alleged role in the Vince McMahon NDA scandal.
Speaking at an online K&S WrestleFest signing, Hebner was asked about Laurinaitis’ firing.
“I celebrated. I hated him and I still hate him … He abused his power to everybody. He was two-faced and has always been — he’ll laugh, smile at you, and stab you in the back.”
Hebner was with WWE until 2005 when he was fired for allegedly selling WWE-licensed merchandise without company knowledge or approval.
When asked what he’d do if he saw Laurinaitis on the street, Hebner said he would “probably kick his a**.”
An investigation is ongoing over what McMahon is alleged to have done with female employees.
Hebner also spoke about his role in the Montreal Screwjob, and how he wasn’t Vince McMahon’s first choice of referee.
