EC3 was not a fan of chasing the WWE 24/7 Championship during his second run with the company, calling the process “nauseatingly bad.”

EC3, who previously wrestled as Derrick Bateman, returned to WWE in 2018 after a five-year absence and a successful run in TNA/Impact Wrestling.

Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 said that it was the “worst days” of his life chasing the title.

“Yeah, I was chasing that. Those were the worst days of my life chasing that (24/7 Championship). It was nauseatingly bad.”

EC3 also recalled speaking to talent backstage and how everyone seemed complacent to do what was asked.

“Everybody’s like, ‘I will do what I’m told because I’m robotic, I have no charisma, no personality myself.’

“And I was like, “What am I doing here?” I’m in my gear, chasing this ugly green thing for no reason, and it’s so stupid.”

EC3 was released from WWE in 2020, with his four reigns as 24/7 Champion the only titles he won in WWE.
