William Regal is expected to leave AEW imminently, which apparently can’t come soon enough for the British wrestler.
This week, it was reported that Regal is set to leave AEW and return to WWE, after being written off TV this week with an attack by MJF on Dynamite.
Speaking to The Wrestling Outlaws, former WWE Superstar EC3 said he was told Regal quickly regretted joining AEW. He said,
“When he went over to AEW, the word was, he said, ‘I immediately regret this decision, there’s very much a maturity issue here within management.”
Regal spent the vast majority of his AEW run with the Blackpool Combat Club but turned on the group by costing Jon Moxley his World Championship at Full Gear.
Regal was released from WWE in January this year as part of backstage cuts to NXT.
