Former WWE Superstar Ken Anderson has spoken about learning of the death of Eddie Guerrero in 2005.

Guerrero died in November of that year at the age of 38, in what was later diagnosed as heart failure.

Anderson, who worked as Mr. Kennedy, faced Guerrero in the latter’s final match, which Eddie would win to earn a spot on Team SmackDown at that year’s Survivor Series.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Anderson recalled learning of Guerrero’s death days after their match:

“I remember, I pulled into the arena. And the guy that parks the cars that helps park all the vehicles told me, he’s like ‘Eddie died.’ And I walked into the building. And it was just like this crazy, sick feeling that everybody had all day. Everybody was super somber and sad. It was, it was a crazy, crazy day.”

Anderson said the last time he saw Guerrero, he was discussing plans for the next week’s ‘Supershow’ with another wrestler backstage.

Randy Orton would replace Guerrero on Team SmackDown, and Eddie was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the following April.
