UPDATE x 2: WWE.com has posted an update on the news that Ember Moon will miss NXT Takeover: Chicago. The article notes that Moon’s recovery time is expected to be four to five weeks.
According to the site, Moon’s injury was a grade one shoulder sprain. It notes that “more details are expected to be released this Wednesday on NXT.”
UPDATE: WWE has released a new video in which Ember Moon confirms that she suffered an arm injury. Her arm was in a sling and she revealed that she will not be a part of NXT Takeover: Chicago. She was set to be part of a fatal 4-way for the NXT Women’s title with Asuka, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross. That match will now be a triple threat.
ORIGINAL: Ember Moon is no longer advertised for the NXT Women’s Championship Fatal 4-Way at NXT Takeover: Chicago. The match is now Asuka vs. Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot. At the last set of TV tapings, Ember was thrown out of the ring during a #1 contenders battle royal and her arm hit the security rail awkwardly, causing a shoulder injury. WWE has yet to announce her injury or removal from the match. She was spotted last week in a sling.
