Ethan Page Shares The Reasons He Signed With AEW Instead Of WWE

Ethan Page made a name for himself in Impact Wrestling; where he became the longest reigning tag team champion with partner Josh Alexander of “The North”. When he decided not to renew his contract with the promotion, he had interest from AEW and WWE. He decided to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

Page made his promotional debut as the surprise sixth entrant in the Face of the Revolution ladder match, which also featured Scorpio Sky, Cody Rhodes, Penta El Zero Miedo, Lance Archer, and Max Caster at the Revolution pay-per-view event earlier this month.

Page conducted a Q&A session on his YouTube channel and was asked why he ended up signing with AEW instead of WWE. He noted that AEW was always at the top of his list and being in AEW allows him to do various things he couldn’t in WWE.

“Interesting question, I’m going to give you a very lazy answer. I wanted to go to AEW from the chance that I even thought about moving from one place to another. AEW was always at the top of my list. I would not be able to do this stream with you guys, I would not be able to answer these crazy-ass questions, I would not be able to do my vlog, Twitch, or any outside projects like that.

I think they give the talent some really good creative freedom as well to be who they are and who they want to be. You’re going to see ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. I really had a hand in designing my first t-shirt for AEW. Yeah, you’re going to see sprinkles of my creativity throughout my AEW career. It’s more of a collaboration, which is awesome.”
