The Biggest Party of the Summer is right around the corner and eWrestlingNews is looking to bring on some more help to cover the wide world of professional wrestling heading into SummerSlam and onward.
If you’re passionate about WWE, AEW, Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, MLW, GCW and/or all the other promotions out there and are interested in becoming a writer for the site, we’d love to hear from you.
In particular, eWN is looking for more help on weekends and evening shifts to help with the round-the-clock news cycle. We could also use more writers to pitch in for results coverage of the TV shows, too.
Editorials are typically the main thing people are interested in writing, but that is not our priority. If you are only looking to write opinion pieces, lists and the like, be aware there are less spots available on the team for those positions—at least, not in a paid staff capacity right now. Things can always change, but at the moment, we are especially in need of writers to help out with news coverage during those times more than anything else.
Applicants must have a solid grasp of proper grammar. Writers who would need to be heavily edited for mistakes crowd the queue and halt the production of other posts. Authors should also be responsible for filling out SEO and will be given instructions, guidelines and tips on how to properly format their posts.
Whether you want to cover general breaking news, scout social media posts for interesting stories, create transcriptions of podcasts, calculate statistics and records or do play-by-play of television shows, there’s room for you to explore your keyboards and build your resumes for work experience, as well as the potential to make money writing about what you love (and sometimes, love to hate).
If you’d like to contribute, now’s the time to let us know!
