Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Awesome Kong has hit out at Hulk Hogan’s involvement with the latter promotion.
Hogan joined Impact, then TNA Wrestling in 2010, and had roles both on and off-screen.
Sitting down with Inside The Ropes, Kong said that Hogan joining was always going to end badly for the promotion:
“Well I thought he was r*ping the company for whatever it was worth. That we were not going to see a return on our Hulk Hogan investment, but he was going to rob the piggy bank dry, and I’m like this is very clear and everyone can see it.
“So it was like Dixie can you not see what is going on? He is going to be popping bottles with Vince in 3 years and you will be broke, can you not see where this is going?”
Hogan would leave TNA in 2013 and would return to WWE the following year.
During Hogan’s tenure with TNA, Kong would leave and join WWE, debuting as Kharma in 2011.
