Excalibur was not used for this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. It had been rumored that the reason for it was due to an angle from 17 years ago at a PWG event where he called Human Tornado the ‘n’ word.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Excalibur was the one who made the call to not appear on Dynamite. There is currently no word on if he’ll be back next week. He was in Florida for the tapings and just wasn’t used.
The AEW announcer has said he has regretted doing it multiple times.
