Superstars On Cards – Episode #5
In this episode, we travel back in time nearly 30 years to the early 90s era of World Championship Wrestling. This is an imported WCW card sets from UK, featuring many classic superstars such as Sting, Lex Luger, Vader, Brian Pillman and much more. These vintage WCW cards feature blue and orange boarder with a classic 90s style design. The classic WCW logo is featured at the top left of each card, as well as a very 90s looking nameplate at the bottom of each card. There is a total of only 66 classic wrestling cards featured in this set, in comparison to the 1991 162 cards WCW Impel set.
This card set was not well known in North America, but rather more popular in its native region of Europe. The WCW 92 European card set is currently valued at a price point of roughly $45 to $100 for a complete used set depending on condition. This set is not quite easy to find complete. In fact, individual Scott Hall cards can cost nearly $300 or more. Certain PSA certified cards from this set could possibly be priced much higher than a raw complete set. If you have this card set at home in a box gathering dust in the attic, you might want to preserve it well, as it will surely rise in value over the coming decades. Do you have a favorite card in this set? Please let us know.
