“The Fiend” (Bray Wyatt) was trending on social media following Sunday night’s WrestleMania: Backlash pay-per-view event after a not-so-subtle reference to him was made by WWE commentator Pat McAfee.
During the Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair match, there was a young fan sitting in the front row who was wearing a Fiend mask. On commentary, McAfee said, “Is that The Fiend in the front row?”
While Michael Cole didn’t respond and quickly moved on, The Fiend was trending on Twitter shortly after McAfee’s comment.
Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt in WWE) was released from WWE on July 31, 2021 and hasn’t appeared for any wrestling promotions since then due to his high asking price. As previously reported here on eWn, Wyatt was making around $4 million per year with WWE prior to his release.
Just last month, Rotunda got married to former WWE announcer JoJo Offerman.
