Finn Balor Injured At WWE WrestleMania 39, How WWE Handled It

UPDATE: At the post-WrestleMania 39 (Night Two) media scrum, Triple H noted that Finn Balor is doing “fine” after suffering a cut to his head during the match. He received some stitches to close the wound but it’s nothing serious.

ORIGINAL: Finn Balor was legitimately busted open during his Hell in a Cell match with Edge at WrestleMania 39 (Night Two).

The injury occurred during a spot where Edge tossed a ladder and it hit Balor directly in the head.

According to several people in attendance, WWE’s medical staff came into the cage while Edge tried to distract the fans in attendance by searching for additional weapons under the ring. While they briefly popped as he pulled out several kendo sticks and a ladder, they knew exactly what was going on as the medical staff gave Balor what was described as a “numbing agent by injection.” Additionally, the “Demon” was quickly given staples at ringside to temporarily close the cut on his head.

In other news, the announced attendance for WrestleMania 39 (Night Two) was 81,395. If you believe WWE’s numbers, this brings the two-night total to 161,892.
