Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are scheduled to take part in a Q&A at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on July 23rd. Former ROH owner Cary Silkin recently tweeted the following, claiming that he’s going to attend the event to confront Ric Flair over the money he’s owed from when Flair worked for ROH:

Some of you may remember that Ring of Honor filed a lawsuit against Flair in January 2010 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, claiming he owed them over $40,000. This was due to Flair failing to live up to his contract as an “RO H Ambassador” on ROH on HDNet tapings and ROH live events. ROH was in the middle of a TV deal with HDnet at the time, which is now AXS TV. The lawsuit claimed that Flair was originally signed to make five appearances at ROH house shows for $10,000 an appearance. He didn’t appear at a Montreal event in July 2009 and didn’t return his $10,000 advance payment.

The lawsuit also claimed that Flair only attended on TV taping after agreeing to a deal to be a n on-air authority figure. He appeared at one taping and the start of the next one, but then made an announcement that he was leaving ROH due to his relationship with WWE. He was paid $35,000 for TV appearances and only made one.

After Sinclair Broadcast Group bought ROH in May 2011, the lawsuit was dropped as Sinclair decided not to take on the suit themselves. However, Silkin has been vocal for years about Flair owing him money.
