Per a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it seems FOX has switched their attention from the UFC to WWE. There have been a lot of reports that suggests FOX’s negotiations with the UFC are not going well and it’s likely they won’t re-sign with one another.

The UFC were hoping a deal would be done by the end of 2017, however, that hasn’t happened. An announcement as to who will obtain UFC’s broadcasting rights is expected this summer. It was noted FOX has switched over their attention to WWE as they can get it for the same money, and receive higher ratings.

FOX was reportedly looking to offer the UFC a deal around $200 million a year, which is less than half the $450 million the UFC was asking for. The mixed martial arts (MMA) juggernaut currently averages $120 million a year with FOX. WWE’s current deal with NBC Universal expires in September of 2019.

Their exclusive negotiating period with the company expires this spring, meaning they will be able to negotiate with other companies after that passes.
