WWE will begin airing SmackDown Live on FOX next year. The company signed a billion-dollar broadcast deal with FOX earlier this year. According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, FOX might want to make some changes to the broadcast team currently in place.

It’s being reported that they’d like to retain the services of current UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. “DC” works on the “UFC Tonight” program as an analyst. FOX is reportedly happy with his work and would like to see him shift over to SmackDown Live upon the beginning of their broadcasting deal with WWE. It’s said FOX believes Cormier would give the program a more sporty vibe.

Cormier recently mentioned that he postponed a WWE commentary audition for his upcoming fight at UFC 230 with Derrick Lewis. Should he strike a deal with WWE, however, Cormier said he still plans to do work for the UFC as a commentator for fight nights.
