Freddie Prinze Jr. Claims He Came up with Kofi Kingston Gauntlet Idea a Decade Ago

Actor and former WWE creative team member Freddie Prinze Jr. took to Twitter and made an interesting revelation this week. Kofi Kingston is currently on his Road To WrestleMania. He is attempting to secure a WWE Title opportunity at WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan.

After being screwed over by WWE CEO Vince McMahon several times already, “The Chairman Of The Board” finally granted Kingston an opportunity. On next week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Kingston will take part in a Gauntlet match. If he wins, he’ll face Bryan at WrestleMania for the strap. The only problem is, he’ll have to go through five men to get to Bryan.

Those men being Randy Orton, United States Champion Samoa Joe, The Bar’s Cesaro and Sheamus, and Rowan. Prinze Jr. took to Twitter and revealed he pitched the Kofi Kingston Gauntlet match idea a decade ago:

“Pitched the Kofi gauntlet at Titan Tower over a decade ago to deaf ears. This journey he’s on is real. Kofi tells a hell of a story in the ring and I hope you watch this chapter.”
