Friends And Fans Start #FreeCain Movement After Cain Velasquez’s ‘Attempted Murder’ Arrest

A movement calling for the freeing of UFC and WWE alum Cain Velasquez is spreading following his arrest earlier this week.

Velasquez has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, after allegedly shooting a man who was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Family, friends, and fans of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion recently rallied around Santa Clara County Court House, where Velasquez recently appeared.

Velasquez is facing charges of attempted murder; shooting at an occupied motor vehicle or aircraft; three counts of assault with a firearm; three counts of assault with a deadly weapon; willfully discharging a firearm from a vehicle; and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony.

If found guilty, Velasquez could serve a minimum of 20 years and up to life in prison.

Its been reported that Velasquez opened fire at a man accused of a lewd act with a minor who is believed to be a relation of the fighter.

Velasquez allegedly hit the step-father of the accused man instead.

Cain Velasquez is best known for his UFC career where he became a two-time Heavyweight Champion.

He joined WWE in late 2019 but was released in April 2020.
