Virgil Flynn, an independent wrestler and GFW alum, has passed away from a stroke. According to “The Going in Raw” podcast, Flynn, who worked for APW, Supreme Pro Wrestling, Hoodslam and several other promotions, passed away earlier today at just 33 years of age.
Flynn worked for Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling promotion, where he debuted in July of 2015. He appeared at three of GFW’s tapings and made it to the finals of the GFW NEXGEN Title Tournament.
Several wrestlers have weighed in on his untimely passing, which you can see below.
On behalf of everyone here at eWrestlingNews.com, we send our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Virgil Flynn. R.I.P.
He came over last night after dropping his family off at the airport. We went over the booking for his next show on August 4. He seemed completely fine.
Today, he had a stroke and passed away.
I guess you just never know.
Goodbye, Virgil.
