According to a report from Knox News, WWE Hall of Famer Glenn “Kane” Jacobs has won the Republican primary as he continues his re-election bid to remain the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

For what it’s worth, this was expected as Jacobs was running unopposed. As of this writing, he has 24,675 votes but it’s not going to matter in the end as he’s simply not running against any other Republicans in the primary so he automatically wins.

Jacobs will now go on to face the Democratic nominee, which will likely be Debbie Helsley.

As of 2020, Knox County, Tennessee has a population of 478,971 people.

For the state races, the primary will take place on August 4th. The general election will take place on November 8th.
