All Elite Wrestling tweeted the following graphic photo and injury update on Cody Rhodes following his loss at Saturday night’s Full Gear event.
As noted earlier here on eWn, the Cody Rhodes vs. Chris Jericho match from Saturday night’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event could have been called early due to the nasty bump Cody took on the ramp. The final decision was left up to doctor Michael Sampson. When Sampson took a look at Cody at ringside, he was the one who made the call to let him continue.
For those unaware, Sampson is the same doctor who saved Jerry Lawler’s life after he suffered a heart attack at a RAW TV taping in September of 2012.
Following his loss to Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes is not allowed to ever challenge for the AEW World title again:
