Hall Of Famer Explains Why WWE & AEW Aren’t At War

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Brian James has said that AEW and WWE aren’t at war despite what many believe.

James, who was inducted in 2019 as part of D-Generation X, was released from his behind the scenes roles with WWE earlier this year.

While on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet”, Road Dogg responded to the idea that the two promotions are at war.

[“AEW is] not going head to head with [WWE] so it almost feels more like, not a war but like — I don’t know — Like, there is another wrestling show on. I don’t think the boys are so in a competition, in a war, as the offices are, you know what I mean?”

AEW stars appeared on WWE RAW last week in a rare partnership by the two companies.

Bryan Danielson, Paul Wight, and Chris Jericho all appeared to praise John Cena on the 20th anniversary of the latter’s WWE main roster debut.
