According to reporter Mike Johnson on the PWInsider Elite Audio show, WWE has not reached out to CM Punk regarding a possible return to the company. As many of you know, Punk is currently under contract to the UFC and has an upcoming fight at the UFC 225 pay-per-view event. The show will take place in CM Punk’s hometown of Chicago, IL next month.
Johnson said, “No, it has not happened. He’s under contract to UFC and I don’t even know if they legally could reach out to him.” Regarding a potential return to WWE for Punk, Johnson added, “There is way too much bad blood between these two sides. It ain’t happening anytime soon.”
CM Punk will face Mike Jackson at UFC 225 on June 9th. UFC 225 takes place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
