Samu Anoa’i is set to undergo a liver transplant today. He is perhaps best known for his run as one half of The Headshrinkers with Fatu (aka Rikishi). Together, they claimed the WWF World Tag Team Championship by defeating The Quebecers in 1994.
PWInsider reports that Anoa’i is undergoing the surgery today in Philadelphia. WWE and wXw co-hosted a charity event in May to benefit Anoa’i, in his battle against cancer. We extend our best wishes to Samu and his family.
