It was announced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) during last night’s Destruction press conference that Hiromu Takahashi has been forced to relinquish the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
Takahashi suffered a neck injury last month at the G1 Special in San Francisco. A four-man tournament is scheduled to determine the new champion. KUSHIDA vs. BUSHI will take place Destruction in Kobe show on September 23rd.
