Former ROH lead commentator Ian Riccaboni will work with NJPW on January 15th as he will be part of the announce team for NJPW’s show in Seattle, which will see NJPW bring back the “The New Beginning In USA” series.
It was Riccaboni himself who revealed his next adventure during an appearance on the Lehig Valley with Love podcast. Riccaboni said that he interpreted the invite as a tryout for the future and he will be calling the main card. Due to ROH’s former partnership with NJPW, Riccaboni is familiar with the product of Japan’s biggest company.
Riccaboni has worked in Ring Of Honor since 2014, being the lead commentator for the G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden in 2019, as well as calling the action of the independent show ALL IN the year before. Last night he worked ROH’s final show before they go on hiatus – Final Battle.
