On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Keith Lee was attacked by Swerve Strickland and his “affiliates.” Swerve was joined by Parker Boudreaux and a mysterious newcomer. We now have some details on the mystery man in Swerve’s crew.

The mystery man, with face tattoos and braids, is former minor league baseball player Granden Goetzman. Prior to joining All Elite Wrestling, Goetzman was a prospect in the major leagues. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011, and moved through the farm systems of Tampa, St. Louis, and Houston. Goetzman was an outfielder known for his speed, but ultimately fell short of making it to the majors.

Since then, Goetzman has been training at Jay Lethal’s school in anticipation of his AEW debut. Goetzman was backstage at the October 10th edition of Dynamite, and his debut has been in the works for several weeks. It is unknown for exactly how long Goetzman has been with AEW, but he’s said to have been with the company for a while.
