At last night’s Impact Wrestling Sacrifice pay-per-view event, Bully Ray defeated Tommy Dreamer in a ‘Busted Open Match’ (First Blood match). Bully Ray was actually busted open before Dreamer, but with the referee down, there was no official call. This allowed John Skyler and Jason Hotch to help Bully Ray wipe the blood off before they busted open Tommy Dreamer, whom the referee saw first upon recovering.
After the match, Ray got into an altercation with Darren McCarty, a four-time Stanley Cup winner. McCarty initially had the upper hand over Bully Ray, before the Good Hands used the numbers advantage, allowing Bully to powerbomb the NHL legend through a table.
What followed was the return of Scott D’Amore, who invited Joe Hendry, Rhino, Mike Bailey, Jonathan Gresham and Heath to take out Bully Ray and his cohorts. D’Amore then laid Out Jason Hotch with a Canadian Destroyer. This was Scott D’Amore’s first appearance since being taken out by Bully Ray several weeks ago.
In other news, following Deonna Purrazzo’s win over Gisele Shaw, Shaw, Savannah Evans, and Jai Vidai assaulted Purrazzo. What followed was the return of Tasha Steelz. Initially pretending to side with the heels, she proceeded to take them out, saving Deonna Purrazzo from potential catastrophe. This was Tasha Steelz’s first appearance since December last year.
Also on last night’s Impact! Plus event, we learned that that Slammiversary will take place on July 15th at the same venue, namely St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
