Impact Wrestling executive Bob Ryder has passed away.
Dave Meltzer first reported the news and it was later confirmed by Pwinsider.com. Meltzer wrote,
“Ryder suffered a fall yesterday and was unable to get up, but apparently texted people that he was okay. But after that, no phone calls or text messages to him were answered. The company sent someone who knew him to his home and knocked on the door and got no response. They then called police and found that he had passed away.”
Ryder had been battling cancer for a number of years and was found dead today at his home.
Since the launch of TNA Wrestling, now known as Impact Wrestling, Ryder had a wide range of roles such as handling contractual negotiations with talents, timing out shows, handling travel and more.
Bob Ryder was found dead at his home in Nashville by police today. We don't know more but he had fallen yesterday and was on advanced chemo. Impact officials couldn't get in touch with him and went to his home and he never answered, police were called and found him dead,
