In anticipation of the 2023 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, WWE have brought in a seasoned indie talent to work as a producer.
According to a report from Fightful, Jason Cade will be assisting with the women’s Royal Rumble match. TJ Wilson (the former Tyson Kidd in WWE, and Natalya’s real-life husband) advocated for the indie standout and was instrumental in bringing him in. Cade has trained with Wilson and Natalya in the past.
There is no indication on whether this will be a full-time gig for Cade, or if it will be more of a test run/trial period. Cade hasn’t been an active performer for a while, but the 31-year-old has plenty of experience. He has worked matches on RAW, NXT, 205 Live, AEW, Ring of Honor, Impact, GCW, MLW, and EVOLVE.
