Soon-to-be departing WWE Superstar Shotzi is officially set to join Major League Wrestling (MLW), with Fightful Select confirming her scheduled appearance at the June 26 ‘Summer of the Beasts’ event — an appearance previously teased by the promotion. According to MLW sources, the company has substantial plans for her.
The report notes that MLW is not only enthusiastic about bringing Shotzi in but also expects her to appear at multiple future events. She’s also expected to have meaningful creative input, including some say over her opponents.
Shotzi’s arrival aligns with a broader revamp of MLW’s women’s division, currently being led by Salina De La Renta. As part of this overhaul, the promotion is incorporating more joshi talent — particularly from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) — with appearances expected on nearly every show. MLW is also scouting talent from CMLL, the indie scene, and other recently released stars.
One major storyline MLW reportedly hopes to build toward is a match between Shotzi and current MLW World Featherweight Champion Shoko Nakajima, who captured the title in April.
