Bea Priestley returned to the ring at NJPW Resurgence, defeating Viva Van in singles action.
This marked her first match since November 2024.
During a recent Highspots Sign-It Live session, Priestley commented on her in-ring return. She said,
“I sure did. It was in Ontario, California. Yeah, but initially when they told me, I was like, ‘Wait, that’s not in Canada is it?’ Yeah, but that was awesome and I feel like it was really cool seeing all the New Japan boys again because I’d see them all the time in Japan. So, it was great to be back. Loved it.”
Priestley was released by WWE this past February.
In January, Thekla faced off against Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship in a losing effort at STARDOM New Year’s Stars.
During a recent appearance on “Wrestling Observer Live,” Thekla praised her match and expressed her desire for a rematch. She said,
“Ouuu, yes (there’s a match I’d recommend to those who have not seen my work). I had a big title match with Athena for the Ring of Honor Title in January. So we had her over and we started out as a tag team and it was going well and then we started to hate each other’s guts naturally. She called me a hussy and then one thing led to another… And we had a phenomenal match and she kicked the crap out of me and vice versa but, we ended up on, you know, good terms and it was a lot of fun and I’d definitely do it again with her. So, if anybody’s interested, definitely give that one a watch I’d say.”
