Since making his AEW debut on the March 12th episode of Dynamite, “Speedball” Mike Bailey has quickly become a consistent presence in All Elite Wrestling, even earning a shot at the AEW International Championship during the recent Dynasty pay-per-view event.
In a vlog released this past week, filmed during the latest Dynamite taping, Bailey reflected on his early run with the promotion. He said,
“I’ve been with AEW for almost a month now, and it’s been a wild ride. I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in such a short time. There’s still a lot ahead of me here, and I’m really excited to see what the future holds.”
Meanwhile, Brett Lauderdale, owner of GameChanger Wrestling (GCW), has pushed back against claims that the promotion has ever accepted funding from another wrestling organization. His comments follow growing criticism from fans regarding GCW’s perceived ties to WWE’s NIL (Next In Line) program and their decision to book talent affiliated with it.
In a recent exchange on social media, Lauderdale responded directly to a fan’s accusation that GCW receives financial backing from WWE, firmly denying the claim.
To date: GCW has received $0 from "the fed", aew, tna, or any other wrestling promotion. https://t.co/sQ4XTLU0ZS
