ISPW To Induct Chris Candido Into Hall Of Fame, Matches Announced For NJPW Strong

Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling is set to induct the late Chris Candido into their Hall of Fame this coming May.

A report from Pwinsider states that Candido will receive a posthumous induction into the Hall of Fame at 80s Wrestling Con on May 6, 2023 in Morristown, New Jersey.

Candido had memorable runs in WWE, ECW, WCW, and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. He cemented his legacy as the youngest NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion in 1994 at the age of 22. In April 2005, Candido passed away from acute pneumonia at the age of 33.

NJPW has announced the following matches for the upcoming episode of Saturday’s NJPW Strong:

* Homicide, David Finlay & Eddie Kingston vs. Tom Lawlor, Bobby Fish & Danny Limelight

* Jeff Cobb vs. Bad Dude Tito
