Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger (real name Jake Hager) is set to make his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut this month. Swagger will be facing JW Kiser at Bellator 214 in Inglewood, California on January 26th. Swagger’s success in amateur wrestling will certainly be a big advantage for him in his MMA career.
Pair that with the striking and jiu-jitsu training he has been partaking in for the past several months, and he could emerge as one of Bellator’s most promising prospects at heavyweight. The promotion’s heavyweight roster is still growing, which is a huge advantage for Swagger, who could find his way into the title picture fairly soon if all goes well.
