Impact Wrestling star Jai Vidal was a recent guest of the Paltrocast with Darren Paltrowitz, and he discussed his goals in Impact, working with Gisele Shaw, and a lot more.
Vidal, Impact’s first openly gay star, signed a multi-year deal with Impact earlier this year. Billing himself as Gisele Shaw’s executive stylist and content creator, Vidal has used his partnership with “The Quintessential Diva” to raise his own profile.

What he’ll be doing at No Surrender: “I’m gonna be managing Gisele Shaw and she’s gonna be taking on Deonna Purrazzo, so I’m very excited for that. Gisele Shaw, in my opinion, is going to get revenge on Deonna Purrazzo for everything she’s been doing to us, she threw chili on us, so yeah – we’re gonna get her back this weekend.”
Becoming a future X-Division Champion: “That is still very much in my future, yes. I do genuinely got goals to be X-Division Champion. I’ve talked in the past about how much I love the X-Division just because that’s what initially drew me into Impact Wrestling, when I discovered Impact when I was a teenager. So one thousand percent, I do believe that one day I will be X-Division Champion.”
Other goals in Impact: “I would love to be managing Gisele when she wins the Knockouts World Championship without a doubt. Just imagine this, right? Gisele Shaw: Knockouts World Champion, Jai Vidal: X-Division Champion, and a toast with the title belts, you know, fireworks in the background, champagne popping…it’s a beautiful vision.”
Where his ideas come from as a stylist: “I like to go through Fashion Week magazines and see what’s popular right now, see what’s going on in different countries, and then I bring those fashion statements over here to the U.S., throw them on Gisele Shaw, throw them on myself and we’re more often than not the best-looking people in the Impact locker room.”
Favorite spots in Las Vegas: “I love going to the Cat’s Meow over here on Fremont Street. It is a karaoke bar and that is my go-to place over here whenever we’re in Vegas. I really like ‘Truth Hurts’ by Lizzo. I’ll sing my heart out to that one!”
